Worked on Space Shuttle PGOC (Payloads) Contract for McDonnell Douglas Space Systems as a Sr. Quality Engineer from 1992-1995, SPACEHAB Payloads (Shuttle) for McDonnell Douglas Space Systems as a Sr. Quality Engineer from 1995-1997, and United Space Alliance on SSP Contract with the Logistics Element as a Principal QE, L6S Black Belt and Project Manager from 1997-2012.  I worked in S&MA and L6S during this time.

I currently work on TOSC Contract as a Sr. Project Manager for Jacobs Safety & Mission Assurance since March 2014.  Prior to my KSC work, I was worked for the USAF as Comm/Nav (Avionics) SSgt (E-5) on A-10s at RAF Bentwaters UK and on F-4 Phantoms at Homestead FL from 1981 until 1985. Afterwards on Tomahawk Cruise Missile as Final Assembly QA Inspector, Missile Depot QA/QE, Final Assembly QE and finally Avionics Quality Manager for McDonnell Douglas Astronautics in Titusville FL until 1992.

I am a second generation space worker after my father, James B. Vanaman, who worked both as a Physicist and Sr. Principal Staff Engineer on Apollo, Space Station, Apollo-Soyuz, and SPACEHAB for McDonnell Douglas Astronautics at Huntington Beach CA and Huntsville AL.
