Wayne Hansen and Bill Trump designed, built and installed the Mod 5 Sequencers.

Design of the Mod 5 Sequencer started in 1979.
The completed sequencer was installed and used for the first Trident D5 test launches from CX46 on 15 Jan 1987. Twelve Sequencers were constructed in a star network and supported all major vehicles on the Range including all the Shuttle launches. The last launch supported by the Mod 5 Sequencer was the NASA Grail mission on 10 Sept 2011.

Wayne started with Pan Am in Oct 1978 and continued with CSR in 1988 and L3 Comm. in 2001. He retired in 2008 and has lived in Melbourne Fl. since 1978. He currently lives around the corner from George Thomas the Range Engineer, who walks his dogs on Ranchwood Ct.

Bill Trump wrote the plaque on the Mod 5 Sequencer, in the Space Walk of Fame Museum and still works on the Range.
