Harry John Clark Sr. was a respected Space Worker at Kennedy Space Center and NASA Headquarters. Mr. Clark was born in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania.  Following his graduation from Sharpsville High School in 1950, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Japan during the Korean conflict.

In 1959, Mr. Clark received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University. After graduation, he worked at Lockheed and Boeing on the West Coast. In 1964, Mr. Clark joined NASA, where he managed the Saturn-V Launch Vehicle Program. He was Kennedy Space Center’s first Shuttle Upper Stage manager and NASA headquarters’ first Wide Bodied Shuttle/Centaur Program manager.

He retired from NASA in 1985 to become director of space operations for Vitro Corporation in Washington, D.C. He later became president of ANALEX Space Systems and also served as a space consultant for various government agencies. Mr. Clark was fluent in Japanese language and culture.
