COMMENTS:

Howard Griggs, a native of Fresno CA and graduate of Fresno State University, served in the U.S. Army in 1945 and National Guard until 1952.  He joined North American Aviation in 1952 first at the Fresno F-86 Maintenance Facility and then at Rocketdyne.  He retired in 1990.  Howard worked as manager of projects in Advanced Programs, then as Manager of Testing at Stennis Space Center for the initial Space Shuttle Main Engine Tests there.  He managed the development of the SSME turbo pump overhaul facility at Rocketdyne and then was Subcontract Manager on the Peacekeeper Missile fourth Stage Program.  He received an MBA from Pepperdine University and taught project management courses at West Coast University.
