COMMENTS:

James began his aerospace career in the late 1950s with Rocketdyne in Canoga Park, California; where he helped design and test early liquid fueled engines. In the mid 60s, he moved to Huntsville, Alabama, where he assisted with the design and test of the F1 Saturn main engines. Finally, in 1967, he accepted a position with Boeing at the Kennedy Space Center, to monitor engine performance during the launch of the Apollo Saturn launch vehicles. He would later assist with the Shuttle program with PRC,by performing regular calibrations of cranes in the Vehicle Assembly Building.
