In November 2007 I swore the oath of office to become a Civil Servant at NASA. I was assigned Launch Pad LC-39A. It was quite a thrill to be the NASA Pad Manager (call sign: NPM) responsible for overseeing the rocket team work their magic in the 30-days leading up to a launch. I have never experienced a finer display of teamwork to this day. We safely launched 16 Space Shuttles during my tenure and were stopped only by Shuttle retirement in 2011 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GREwspcOspM.
In 2014 I was proud to be asked by NASA Management to come back to “Pad A” to assist in the hardware conversion efforts in support of SpaceX’s new rocket.

My story would not be complete without including these tidbits: I was instrumental in leading the team responsible in assembling over 2500 KSC employees into the shape of a full sized “human shuttle” and having the NASA UH-1 Helicopter photograph it on March 18th 2011, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr-yTbWuhWE I am the recipient of NASA’s Silver Snoopy award, I obtained certification by the Federal Aviation Administration as a multi-engine flight instructor in 1999, I received a MBA from Florida Institute of technology in 1995,

Working with NASA Public Affairs, I assembled a team that developed an educational pilot video for NASA called “The Dr. Yu Show” https://vimeo.com/540216192/180c9ac99a (it was not picked-up),

End of data.
