Norbert D. Grubka started his career with General Electric in Syracuse, NY, in the late 50’s; moving the family to Huntsville, AL, and then to Titusville, FL, in 1965, to join the team at the Kennedy Space Center.  He completed his Engineering degree from Rollins College in 1976, and worked for various contractors throughout his career, including PanAm, PRC, and McDonnell Douglas.  He received the Apollo 17 Manned Flight Awareness award in 1972. His career covered the Apollo and Shuttle programs, most specifically the Hubble Telescope project.  He was married to Lucille Grubka for 35 years, and they had six children: David, Denise, Michael, Janine, Michelle and Andrea.  He passed away from a brain tumor in 1992.
