Pat (Patrick) Cahalan spent many years working at Kennedy Space Center as part of NASA manned spaceflight.  He worked as an OMS/RCS engineer, as a NASA convoy commander, and as a NASA APU/HYD engineer/lead engineer during the Shuttle Program.  He spent countless hours ensuring every system he worked was ready for testing and launch and would not cause harm to the hardware or injury to the ground or flight crews.
