I worked on the Space Shuttle Program for 26 years.  I was a Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) tech for 3 years, a Launch Pad SRB technician for 14 years, a Pad Hypergol technician for 4 years and finally a Process Sampler (Quality  Surveillance) affectionately known as a “Palm Nazi” for 5 years. I was laid off at the end of the program in July, 2011.  I currently work back at KSC for AECOM on the LASSO contract in Quality Assurance at the Component Refurbishment Lab supporting several different launch companies.
